1. Principle of Milestone Finality
BuildCrex enforces a strict standard regarding completed transaction segments to protect the livelihood of working technicians and suppliers. Once a Client clicks "Approve Milestone," or once a milestone passes the 48-hour auto-release threshold without rejection, the capital is dispatched immediately to the provider. Once funds exit the Escrow Vault and enter external banking systems, the transaction is 100% final, irrevocable, and non-refundable by BuildCrex.
2. Material Volatility & Deduction Protocols
Construction logistics in Nigeria involve volatile material pricing structures. If a Client cancels a project milestone after funds have been deposited into escrow but before physical work on site is finalized, a full gross return is not guaranteed if procurement has commenced.
If the contractor has already utilized a portion of the escrow capital to secure raw materials and can present verified supplier receipts, BuildCrex will deduct the total value of those materials from the refund pool. However, BuildCrex explicitly reserves the unilateral right to audit and benchmark all submitted receipts against the platform's internal AI-driven pricing indices. Should a receipt be deemed artificially inflated or commercially unreasonable, BuildCrex reserves the right to cap the material deduction at the prevailing fair market value for the Lagos metropolitan area. The physical materials purchased remain the property of the Client and must be collected from the site location; only the remaining unspent cash balance within the escrow vault will be refunded.
3. Wallet-First Refund Infrastructure
All approved refunds resulting from milestone cancellations or dispute resolutions are credited directly as liquid capital into the user's BuildCrex Digital Wallet. This balance can be used immediately to fund alternative milestones.
If a user formally requests a withdrawal of these funds to an external bank account or international debit card, the transaction will be subject to a 3% Third-Party Payment Gateway Pass-Through Cost. BuildCrex retains zero profit from this deduction; it is strictly applied to recover the non-refundable routing and currency conversion charges incurred from our third-party banking networks during the initial deposit and subsequent reversal.
4. Dispute Arbitration as a Precondition
No refund requests, chargeback triggers, or cancellation paybacks will be reviewed, evaluated, or executed by BuildCrex unless the user has formally filed an objection through our platform and completed the full sequence of the 3-Stage BuildCrex Dispute Resolution Protocol. Any attempt to bypass this process through external banking chargebacks will result in an immediate suspension of your account.
